Accelerated Reader Program - Computerized Reading Management System 1. Student reads a book from the
Accelerated Reader List. Teachers have set goals of either passing a certain number of Accelerated Reader Tests, or obtaining a certain number of points. Points are based on the length and difficulty of the book, as well as the number of questions answered correctly. No points are awarded if less than 60 percent of the test questions are answered. Tests can be taken only one time. Progress is tracked by the computer individually for each student. For your convenience, it would be a good idea to stay in good standings with the Lincoln Library with no overdue books or outstanding fines, however, books from other libraries may be read for this program as long as the exact book is on our Accelerated Reader list. The red dots that identify
the books as Accelerated Reader Books sometimes accidentally get stuck to a
book that is not an Accelerated Reader Book. This is the reason that it
is the student's responsibility to check the Accelerated Reader list to make
sure the book is actually on our Accelerated Reader Book List. Students
should also check to make sure the book they choose is by the same author as
the one on our Accelerated Reader List.
