It’s that time of year that we begin our school wide reading incentive program.  We will continue to use the Accelerated Reader program as our method to track student progress and goals.  Here is how this year's program is going to be conducted:

• Student reading goals will be assigned by the grading period.

• If the student reaches their goal, they will be invited to attend reading celebration.

• The celebrations for this year will be:

  • 1st grading period: Dinner and aMovie: Cars 2 on Tuesday, November 8th. Students who have met their goal will be invited to stay after school to watch the movie then have a dinner of grilled hot dogs and all the fixings.
     

The Bolin Buck Auction
       Our final incentive will be the Bolin Buck Auction. Students will be earning Bolin Bucks throughout the school year to use at the auction to bid on and purchase lots a different things.     
 Here are the ways that students can earn Bolin Bucks:

• Students will earn $50 for meeting their quarterly goal.
• Students will earn $1 for each additional point they earn beyond their goal.
• Students will earn $10 for returning the signed parent information sheet.
• Students will earn $10 if they have reached at least 50% of their goal by midterm.
• Students will earn $20 if they reach 200% of their goal.
• Students will earn $50 if they achieve their goal all 4 grading periods

Books at the Bolin Library that have quizzes available have a sticker on the side of the book as well as a label in the back of the book that states the points for that book.  Home books and public library books can be checked for available quizzes and point values by visiting the following website:
