Shute School:

Shute School is located at 300 Briarbrook Drive East Peoria, Illinois.  The school was built in 1969.  Since the fall of 1993 Shute has been a primary school serving about 240 Early Childhood through Second grade students.  Our sister school, Lincoln, is located on Springfield Road near Fondulac Golf Course.  At each grade level Collaborative classrooms have been established to integrate students with needs into a regular classroom.  Shute offers a variety of educational experiences for its students.  Placing primary emphasis on Math and Language Arts skills of Reading and Writing and our students are supported by a literacy coordinator, collaborative teacher and intervention aide.  We are able, with this support, to get the maximum potential out of all our students.  Shute/Lincoln is proud to serve the educational needs of the community.
