Each year from November to February, library aides, teachers and guest readers share Monarch books with the K-2 students in the East Peoria District #86. A strong attempt to read as many books to the students from the 20 choices is made each year. In February, each student casts their vote for their favorite book during a one week long voting week. All results are turned into the district librarian.  The the results go to the state and are shared with the students as the information becomes available.
