Lunch Workers

4th and 5th grade students have the opportunity to volunteer in the lunchroom assisting with various tasks including serving food and cafeteria clean up. This is a great opportunity for socialization with other students in the school, as well as an opportunity to complete tasks successfully and follow directions. Most students volunteer during both first and second lunch, then eat their lunch and return to the classroom. If needed, students can be allowed to eat at our regular lunch time and then work just second lunch. Students needing assistance to volunteer can be sent with a classroom aide to help them participate. Because we send only one lunch worker per week, your child would be volunteering every couple of weeks.
