Congratulations to all of the 8th grade students who completed this week’s wildcat challenge and turned in all of their homework on time!

Are you interested in Sound, Lighting, Makeup and Hair or assisting backstage  with the School Play?  If so, stop by Mrs.  Vance’s room to sign up and  pick up an application due by  Feb. 20th to Mrs. Rosa or Mrs. Vance.

If any students still need to sign up for track, please see Miss Potendyk.

At last night’s volleyball game the lady wildcats demonstrated great teamwork in the 7th grade game. Although 7th grade did not walk away with a victory, they didn’t give up and  played defensively by  going after the ball each play! Wish them luck as they play Dunlap Middle on Monday.

The 8th grade volleyball team came to play last night vs. Washington Central. They took the 1st game 25-16 but fell in the 2nd game 18-25. In the 3rd game, everyone came out swinging. Kallie R. had 5 kills, Elena R. and Kayla G. had 2 kills a piece, and Kaylee C., Jordan B., and Morganne A. each had one. Kaylee and Elena had some crucial blocks at the net. Kaylee also added 3 aces, Kayla had 2, and Kallie and Elena added 1 each. Taylor K. was cleaning up in the back row with great passes and contributed an ace. Jayce L. and Kayla G. also had 12 assists. Their team effort pushed them ahead mid game, but unfortunately a few mistakes cost them in the end of an amazing game. They fell in the 3rd game 26-28. You need to come out this Saturday to root on your 8th grade volleyball team when they play in the Tazewell County Tournament at Parkview Jr. High. First game is at 10:00 vs. Dee Mack.
