LUNCH REMINDERS
Fast food lunches should not
be brought to school. Even during Visiting Weeks we ask that outside lunches
not be brought to school. If outside lunches are brought to school, we will
have a spot for you and your child to share your lunch together outside of the
dining room. Lunch payment reminders will come home with your child each
Friday or the last day of the school week.
DROPPING OFF STUDENTS
IN THE MORNING AND PICKING UP IN THE AFTERNOON
Students should not be
dropped off before 8:30 a.m. in the morning. There is no one available to
supervise them before this time. Many days staff is still preparing for the
students to arrive or we are in staff meetings until 8:30 a.m. Students should
wait in the foyer until they are dismissed to go downstairs to the gym.
On chorus days students should not arrive before 7:50 a.m. When they arrive
they should wait in the foyer until Mr. Whitman comes for them.
Parents should pick-up and drop students off in the back of the school.
Students who are car riders should enter the building through the back doors.
Visitors
to Lincoln School are always welcome. All visitors must sign in at the office
before going to their destination. When you are coming to visit you should park
in the back parking lot. You can enter the building by ringing the doorbell
on the door off the parking lot. Mrs. Whitman will then buzz you into the
building. Parents are welcome to come to have
lunch with your child at any time. In order for us to have enough food prepared
you need to call Mrs. Whitman at
427-5450 by 9:30 a.m. to order a lunch.
Absent from School
or Appointments
If your child is going to be absent from school or needs to leave early or
arrive late to school due to an appointment please call Mrs. Whitman at 427-5450
by 10:00 a.m.
Medication 
Children who require medication being
given to them during the school day need to have a form on file in the office
signed by their doctor. School staff are not allowed to give any medications
without this form. This also includes if your child requires Tylenol or
ibuprofen for headaches. Cough drops may be brought to school with a note from
the parent. Call Mrs. Whitman if you are in need of a medication form.
Parent Volunteers are needed!!!!
We need your help at Lincoln
School. During the month of September parent volunteers are needed in the
following areas: running off papers for Rocketship math, making golden paws,
running off DIBELS booklets for testing, and library helpers. If you are
interested in helping out in any of these areas call Mrs. Whitman at 427-5450.
Box Tops for Education
and Campbell Soup Labels
Have you ever noticed the little rectangles on the tops of some of your food
boxes that say "Box Tops for Education"? SAVE those!
We are also collecting the Campbells' soup labels. They are worth money to us
here at Lincoln and Shute Schools. You may turn them in at Lincoln School
outside of Mrs. Ozog's office. They help us to buy items for our school.
Recycle Printer Cartridges
You can help the
school by recycling. Save those printer cartridges over the summer.
We have a collection box outside of Mrs. Ozog's office.
