Happy Red Ribbon Week. This Monday-Thursday, our school will be joining in the nationwide celebration for raising awareness for a drug free lifestyle. To show your support for a drug free life, dress up in themes throughout the week that are posted in your hallways and school lunchroom. Today’s theme is “Peace Out to Drugs” aka Hippie Day. Teachers - to your homeroom students, or to those students who pledge to live a drug and alcohol free lifestyle, please hand out the Peace Out to Drugs sticker.  tomorrow's theme will be “Be all you can be, drug free” and show your support by dressing up in camo. Wednesday’s theme will be to wear bright orange or Unity Day and Thursday’s theme will be crazy day from head to toe. Dressing up for Red Ribbon Week is one simple step you can do to speak out in support of healthy choices. The themes are also a reminder that by staying drug free, you are sending a message to yourself and others about how much you value yourself, your overall health, your community and your future.

There is still one more chance to earn a punch on your first quarter “Take Pride” punch card. If you make honor roll, your teacher will punch your card on Wednesday when they hand out report cards. Cards will be collected at that time.  Anyone with a full card will be entered to win snack bar coupons and gift cards, and if you are in the winning grade level, a full card earns you a grade wide reward.
