MAP Reading Assessments will be taken Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday next week. It's important for your child to get a good night's sleep and healthy breakfast before the test so they can perform to their highest potential. Please talk to your child's teacher for specific days/times they will be testing.

The kindergarten classes are heading to the Peoria Zoo and the Peoria Playhouse tomorrow! Check with your child's teacher to see what they need to bring with them. Have a great time, Kindergarten!

Calling all special ladies! Our Muffins with Moms event will be held on Friday, May 12th, starting at 8:00. Join us in your child's classroom for a light breakfast and fun activity.

Our Day of AWESOMENESS is happening tomorrow, May 3rd! We're excited to be celebrating the success of our fall fundraiser with an afternoon of FUN! If possible, have students bring an extra pair of socks to change into after our afternoon outside on inflatables.

Our next (and last) Popcorn and Pencil Day is Friday, May 5th. Students may bring 50 cents for popcorn and/or a pencil, with proceeds going to support our School Store.

Our April CeleGREATion Festival is Friday, April 28th. Students are participating in a variety of fun activities to celebrate their GREAT behavior!

iReady Math Diagnostic Testing will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week. Students will be taking this test to show off all they have learned this year in math. Please make sure your child gets good rest and a good breakfast so they can do their very best on the test. Talk to your child's teacher for specific testing dates and times.

The first graders are heading to bowl and eat lunch at the park on Thursday, April 27th. Please be sure they bring their disposable sack lunches, wear socks and tennis shoes, and wear their red shirts. Have fun!

Our next CeleGREATion Festival will be held on Friday, April 28th. The teachers are preparing fun Colors of the Rainbow-themed activities for our students. Don't forget to ask your child what activity they got to enjoy.

Our Wilson students will be FastBridge screening on Tuesday morning, April 25th. Teachers will be assessing students on their phonics and reading fluency skills. Please make every effort to have your child at school on time on this day--and every day!

Students will be dismissed early at 2:25 pm on Thursday, April 6th. Students who ride the bus will be dropped off approximately 50 minutes earlier than normal. We will then have a 4-day weekend for Easter, with no School on Good Friday, 4/7, or Easter Monday, 4/10.

Out of an abundance of caution related to the potential of weather concerns this afternoon, Central Junior High School will be dismissing students at 12:30 pm. K-2 schools will be dismissed at 1:30, and 3-5 schools will be dismissed at 1:40 pm. Please contact your child’s school if this changes their transportation for this afternoon. Latchkey has informed us that they will also be closing at 4:30 pm due to weather concerns. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We appreciate your understanding as we look at the safety of our students and staff.
