Congratulations to Judah B.! Judah ran an incredible race at sectionals, shaving off 1 minute and 3 seconds off his season PR with an impressive time of 12:41! He has consistently worked hard, pushed himself, and given his best effort at every practice and meet! We are proud of his progress and look forward to watching him to grow as a runner!
Congratulations to Tenley M.! Tenley is a true team player and will do anything asked of her to help her team win. She led the Wildcats to 3 victories last week with 16 points against Canton, 18 against Pekin Broadmoor, and 19 against Parkview. She is also always getting herself in position to rebound on both the defensive and offensive glass.
Congatulations to Adalyn C.! We are so glad that Adalyn moved into our district this year. She has given us a boost by handling the ball at point guard, great shooting from outside, and always hustling to do whatever the team needs. She had a big game against Germantown Hills this week hitting five 3 pointers to help lift the team to victory.
Congrtulations to Greta L.! Greta has improved so much from 6th grade to 8th grade. She has been getting herself into position to help rebound and making good passes to her teammates when she draws extra defenders. She had one of her best games last Saturday against Parkview scoring 5 points, securing numerous rebounds, and finding her teammates for open shots.
Congratulations to Sydney H.! Sydney ran her best race at sectionals, shaving off 8 seconds off her season PR with a time of 14:34! She is a natural leader and a shining star on our team. We are so proud of her progress she has made this season and look forward to the next season with her! Sydney was double nominated! Sydney is a great team leader. She leads by example because she comes out every game and stuffs the stat sheet with numerous rebounds, steals, and blocks on top of getting points. She hustles the entire game and will do whatever is asked of her to help her team. She had 14 points and 15 points in 2 victories against Canton and Pekin Broadmoor last week.

Due to the chilly weather forecast for tomorrow, we will be condensing our Swinging for a Cure Baseball Event to 2 games per team.
🕙 First game starts at 10:00 AM
🏁 Final game should finish by 1:30 PM

No School Monday, October 12th - Columbus Day
The Fall Concert is today - Thursday, October 8th at 6:30 PM in the CJHS Gym. This concert will feature 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bands as well as the CJHS Chorus. Each group will be presenting a few pieces so show their progress from the beginning of the school year.
