Congratulations to our recent Top Performers!
Congratulations to Hunter P.! Hunter earned his spot for the state tournament at sectionals on Saturday after fighting through the consolation bracket and winning 3 very close matches back to back to back. He has been a constant motivator and leader at practice, leading warm ups and working with anyone who needs it.
Congratulations to Cruise M.! Cruise competed in the state tournament as the only non-8th grader in the 135 pound bracket. He wrestled some of his best matches of the season to guarantee himself a top 6 position. He ended up placing 5th overall and looks to take the top spot next year.
Congratulations to Roosevelt J.! Roosevelt was a dominant presence on the mat all year, going into the post season with only one loss. While Roosevelt would lose in the semi-finals of the state tournament, he would end up winning his last two matches to bring home 3rd overall at 100 pounds with his only losses all season coming from the #1 and #2 wrestlers in the state.
Congratulations to Jack W. and Violet N.! Both Violet and Jack did a great job of answering toss up questions and also serving as captain for the B match against Washington Middle. Both have been a great addition to this years team!
