Due to the chilly weather forecast for tomorrow, we will be condensing our Swinging for a Cure Baseball Event to 2 games per team.

While you’re there, grab some lunch from the corn dog food truck and check out the awesome items in our silent auction! All silent auction proceeds will benefit St. Jude.

Congratulations to Aaron J. Aaron has gotten a new personal best in the past 3 meets, with a new best of 15:29! He works hard, gives great pep talks, and is a wonderful teammate.

No School Monday, October 12th - Columbus Day
The Fall Concert is today - Thursday, October 8th at 6:30 PM in the CJHS Gym. This concert will feature 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bands as well as the CJHS Chorus. Each group will be presenting a few pieces so show their progress from the beginning of the school year.

Congratulations to Hayden W.! Hayden is always working hard and consistently gets better in every race. She is motivated to be the best and is a great teammate. She is a great leader for the team and we can't wait to see how well she runs the rest of the season.
Congratulations to Jack S.! Jack took on a new role this season as one of the team’s captains. While Jack may not always be the most outspoken player, he has stepped outside of his comfort zone and grown into a positive and vocal leader for his teammates. Jack has also recently stepped up at the plate, swinging the bat well and carrying a .222 batting average over his last 6 games. Where Jack has truly made his biggest impact is on defense. At second base, Jack has made some of the best defensive plays of the season, making big-time stops that have helped keep runs off the scoreboard and his team in games. Jack’s leadership, defensive ability, and willingness to step up when his team needs him have made him an important part of this team all season long.
Congratulations to Cruise M.! Cruise Murphy has been a standout performer for the CJHS Baseball team all season long. At the plate, Cruise has carried an impressive .452 batting average, while hitting 4 home runs and driving in 14 RBIs. He also put together an impressive 7-game hitting streak, consistently providing big hits for the team. Cruise has been just as dominant on the pitching mound, posting a 1.88 ERA with 37 strikeouts and only 13 walks. His ability to make an impact both offensively and on the mound has made him one of the team's most valuable players throughout the season.
Congratulations to Elijah H.! Elijah has one of the toughest jobs in baseball as a catcher. On top of handling the demands behind the plate, Elijah has also taken on the role of the team’s closer, being called upon late in games to shut the door and help secure the win. He has risen to the challenge and excelled at both positions all season long. Elijah has also been producing at the plate, carrying a .400 batting average over his last 6 games while driving in 6 runs and posting an impressive .500 on-base percentage. Whether he’s behind the plate, on the mound, or in the batter’s box, Elijah has consistently stepped up when his team has needed him. His versatility, toughness, and ability to contribute in multiple ways have made him a very integral part of this team all season long.

Congratulations to Gage T.! Throughout the season Gage has been a true leader on and off the field. Gage has pitched against 2 very strong teams and has preformed well. His last outing he through 5 inning, had 6 strikeouts and only 2 walks. At the plate he also manages to put the baseball in play and advance or drive in runners on base.
Congratulations to Lacie B.! Lacie is a 6th grader on the team and a fantastic leader! She is a multi-sport athlete who is always stepping up, working hard, and representing our school/team well!
Congratulations to Greta L.! Greta was a perfect 5 for 5 at the plate with 5 RBIs against Dunlap Middle. In the last three games she is hitting a combined 8-12 with 11 RBIs. Great work Greta!
Congratulations to Drew B.! So far this season Drew has shown amazing teamwork and dedication to the game. Even though he has been splitting time with another teammate, Drew has been very positive and always ready to play the game. Drew is also 1 of 2 players on the team to hit a homerun. Keep working hard and being a great role model to the younger players.
Congratulations to Landon B.! Landon Binger has not been afraid to start his middle school career in baseball. During the last 4 games, he is batting .500 and has 1 walk. He also has shown his comfort on the mound pitching 2 innings and recording 2 strikeouts. Regardless of the outcome of the game, Landon always has a smile on his face and is willing to encourage his teammates.
