The first day of student attendance in East Peoria District 86 for the 2026-2027 school year is Wednesday, August 19th. This is a regular attendance day. You may contact your building principal or secretary if you have any questions.
Pre-Registration for new students will be online July 20th – July 31st, 2026 (This will START your registration). Please see the district website for more details.
To COMPLETE the registration for new students you MUST come to the ONE DAY in-person registration Tuesday, August 4, 2026, @CJHS Main Gym, 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
Registration for returning students will be open Monday, July 13,2026 – Friday, July 31, 2026. Please check the district website for details.
Friday, May 29th is the last day of school for students for the 25-26 school year. This is a full day of school with normal dismissal times. Students will be receiving their report cards this day as well. Our last Teacher's Institute will take place on Monday, June 1st.
There will be no school on Monday, May 25th, due to Memorial Day. Classes will resume at their regular scheduled time on Tuesday, May 26th.
This Friday, May 22nd, will be a half day for students. CJHS will dismiss at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will not be served. K-2 buildings will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. 3-5 Buildings will dismiss at 12:40 p.m. Lunches will be served at all K-5 buildings. There will be no classes for Early Childhood. Classes will resume at their regular scheduled time on Tuesday, May 26th. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school.
Volunteers are still needed for the State Track Meet at Eastside on May 22nd and 23rd. Please reach out to Michelle McGraugh at mcgraughm@epd86.org or 309.427.5200, if you would be interested in helping out.
Our Spring i-Ready Testing for reading and math will take place between May 4th and 22nd. Please make sure your child has a working set of headphones at school and encourage them to do their best! We are excited to see the growth our students have made throughout the year!
Please join us this Saturday for the 2026 East Peoria Music & Arts Festival! This event will take place from 2-6pm at CJHS and showcase students from across the district!
