State Testing will take place in March for 3rd-8th grade students. Please make sure your child has a working pair of wired headphones or wired earbuds to use at school. Wireless/Bluetooth headphones and earbuds are not permitted for state testing.

This Friday, February 6th, will be a half day for students. CJHS will dismiss at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will not be served. K-2 buildings will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. 3-5 Buildings will dismiss at 12:40 p.m. Lunches will be served at all K-5 buildings. There will be no classes for Early Childhood. Classes will resume at their regular scheduled time on Monday, February 9th. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school.

District 86 School Improvement Day February 6 2026
Given the negative temperatures and windchill projected for 1/23, out of an abundance of caution, all District 86 schools will be closed tomorrow. We appreciate your understanding as the safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. At this time it is anticipated that all classes will resume at the normal time on Monday. We hope this notice allows families to make arrangements for tomorrow accordingly. Again we appreciate your understanding.

Mark your calendars for Kindergarten Round-Up: Feb 1-28! If you have a child that was born on or before September 1, 2021, or know of one, it will soon be time to sign them up for kindergarten. This is an online process. More information will be sent out on January 30th.

Friday, December 19th is the last day before Christmas Break. Students will have an early dismissal. AM ECE classes will have no change. PM ECE classes will dismiss at 2:10pm. K-2 buildings will dismiss at 2:25pm. 3-5 buildings will dismiss at 2:35pm. CJHS will dismiss at 1:35pm. Lunch will be served at all buildings.
