
School Board Members Day, November 15th, is an occasion to recognize board members who serve as unpaid volunteers for the benefit of the students and the community. They act as the front-line education advocates providing a local voice and vision for the district by putting in place the educational priorities of area residents. Just a reminder that there is no school on Tuesday, November 8th. This is a mandated holiday in Illinois for Election Day.
Also this week, no school on Friday, November 11th in observance of Veterans' Day.
Classes will resume at their regular scheduled time on Monday, November 14th.

Reminder, this Friday, November 4th is a School Improvement Day. All students will have early dismissal. CJHS will dismiss at 11:00 a.m., lunches will not be served. K-2 buildings will dismiss at 12:30 p.m., 3-5 Buildings will dismiss at 12:40 p.m. Lunches will be served at all K-5 buildings. No Early Childhood classes on this day. Classes will resume at their regular scheduled time on Monday, November 7th .

District 86 will host a community-wide trunk or treat at CJHS on Sunday, October 30th from 4:00-5:30. District staff and community organizations will be there with their trunks open for all costumed children - ages birth through 8th grade - to participate! We'd love to see you there!

Registration for the upcoming school year is right around the corner! Returning Students online registration is from Monday, July 18-Tuesday, August 2nd.
