At our match on March 17 Michael F. answered 5 correct toss up questions helping us to win during a close match with Washington Middle.
This same day Rio B. answered her first correct toss up during a match!

Due to forecasted severe storms and high winds, today's track meet has been canceled. Practice will be indoors after school.

CJHS will be hosting it's 3rd Quarter Honor Roll Breakfast on Thursday April 3rd in the new gym 6:45-7:15am. Doors will open and 6:30am. Based on feedback from the parent survey, we wanted to get this information out to you soon as well as make you aware that we will have a hot breakfast option. Congratulations to Zander T., Benson B., and Michael F.! At our match on 3/4 both of these 6th graders answered their first toss up questions correctly during a match- which is not an easy task! Michael led the team at our match against Olympia answering 5 toss ups correctly. He surprised us all (and even himself) with his knowledge of 20th century pop culture icon Marilyn Monroe!
And congratulations to Student Council sponsors Ms. Campbell and Mr. Weir for putting on a phenomenal school dance last week!

Congratulations to Evan G.! Evan has done a great job of stepping in to the captain role at our first two matches and helping to lead the team with his quick thinking or lucky guesses!
Congratulations to Eli M.! Last weekend Eli represented our boys basketball team at the All-State Junior High Classic. Eli played in 3 games with other players from the area. Eli was selected by other coaches in the area as an outstanding performer on the court. Congratulations Eli and thank you for representing Central Junior High.
And finally congratulations to Mrs. Higgins.! Nominated by a colleague(s), they write:
"She organized the shirts for Mr. Hamilton. She is also doing a workout program based around Mr. Hamilton and encouraging us to get moving. She is a wonder staff member to have on your team and a wonder teacher for the students. She is always going the extra mile for staff and students."
