Congratulations to Addison K., Clayton D., and Michael F. for being selected as Top Performers over the past few weeks! Addison has been a positive influence at volleyball practice, working hard to get the season going. Clayton has continued to be a factor in 7th grade basketball games. Michael has set the tone for Scholastic Bowl by completing all of his practice tasks over break!

All after school activities for January 9, 2024 have been canceled.
Tonight's boys basketball game has been canceled. Boys basketball practice is still being held after school. Plans for 8th grade night will be announced as soon as they are finalized. We are monitoring the weather as the day continues. All practices after school are still on as of 9:45 AM.
Wrestling practice for January 8 will be from 3:30-4:30.
Due to forecasted inclement weather, tonight's wrestling match at ROWVA has been cancelled.

Congratulations to Caleb B., Isabella F., and Carol S. for being selected as Top Performers for IESA Week 24! Caleb scored 22 points in three games last week, knocking down 6 triples! Isabella and Carol also helped pitch in and contribute to a strong showing last week at the Peoria cheer competition!
Congratulations to Vinny H. on being named Top Performer or IESA week 23. Vinny is always showing up, playing hard, and being a leader on the team. He is always willing to take advice when given.

Congratulations to Charlotte G. and James B. for being selected as Top Performers for IESA Week 22! Charlotte's hard work and commitment to the cheer program are being recognized, while James won 4 of his 5 chess matches this past weekend at the Brimfield tournament!

At 9:31 am, a fire alarm pullstation was accidentally activated triggering the buildings Fire Alarms. At 9:33 am, all Central Junior High School students in attendance were outside and accounted for. East Peoria Fire Department responded to the alarm and confirmed there was no fire and that the building was safe to re-enter. At 9:38 am, all students returned inside. Classes resumed at 9:43 am. A Big THANK YOU to EPFD and Central Faculty/Staff for responding so well.
